§ 91.021 CURING.
   (A)   After the curb and gutter is completed, it shall be kept moist for a period of not less than three days, and shall be protected from the elements in a satisfactory manner. Either wetted burlap, wetted straw or wetted earth may be used for curing purposes. The water for moisture is to be applied in the form of a uniform spray, to avoid damage to the fresh concrete.
   (B)   When the minimum daily temperature is below 35°F, curing by the above methods shall be omitted and the newly placed concrete shall be protected with not less than eight inches of loose dry straw, which shall remain in place for a period of not less than five days.
