§ 30.07 STANDING COMMITTEES.

   (A)   Standing committee of three created. There is created the following standing committees of three of the City Council:

      (1)   City Property;

      (2)   Finance;

      (3)   Gas;

      (4)   Police;

      (5)   Streets and Alleys; and

      (6)   Water and Sewer.

   (B)   Standing committee of one created. There is created the following standing committees of one of the City Council:

      (1)   Library; and

      (2)   Golf Course.

   (C)   Standing committees; Mayor appointment authority.

      (1)   The Mayor shall, immediately after the passage of the ordinance codified in this section and thereafter, at the first regular meeting of each fiscal year, make appointments to said standing committees.

      (2)   The Mayor shall, unless there is a vacancy in the Office of Alderman, make such appointments so that each Alderman shall be the Chairperson of one standing committee of three and serve as a member of two other standing committee of three. No Alderman shall serve on the Library Committee and the Golf Course Committee at the same time.
