§ 52.21 CONNECTION CHARGES.
   (A)   All connections to the city gas utility system shall be made by the city. The city shall charge for connecting three-fourths inch or smaller taps for the existing main, the sum of $650, for installation of service line up to 80 feet in length. For installation of service lines in excess of 80 feet, the city will charge on a time and materials basis for installing said line and equipment.
   (B)   Service lines, regulators, meters, stopcocks, and other fittings larger than those required for a standard connection shall be paid for by the applicant at the actual cost to the city at the time of application.
   (C)   Additionally, pursuant to the Gas Revenue Tax Act, being 35 ILCS 615/1 et seq., the city shall collect a public utility tax of 5% of total installation charges.
