Vehicles may be stopped in a designated fire lane under the following guidelines and conditions:
1. Delivery vehicles shall be allowed, in commercial and industrial areas, to stop in fire lanes for the express purpose of loading or unloading said vehicle. Vehicle shall be allowed to remain in the fire lane only while actively loading and unloading. During the time the vehicle is stopped the driver shall remain in the immediate vicinity of the vehicle, and move said vehicle immediately if directed by any public official. Maximum time a delivery vehicle shall be allowed to remain in a fire lane shall in no instances exceed twenty (20) minutes.
