(A) Private fire protection consumers will understand that fire protection charges are mainly a compensation for standing ready to serve and that for the charge the use of water is not contemplated except for the actual extinguishing of fires, or for the testing of the system which shall not be done without first notifying the office of the Public Works and Utilities, and if used otherwise, an actual or estimated charge will be imposed.
(B) Hydrants and sprinkler heads will be billed at the following rates - effective 07/01/2016:
(1) For each fire hydrant, $180 per year. Sprinkler heads, under 600 heads, $180 per year plus $.06 per year for each additional head.
