(A) The new distribution service line shall be extended to the meter location designated by Murray Natural Gas and a riser shall be installed.
(B) No gas meter shall be installed or maintained under the floor of any building or other structure.
(C) No gas meter shall be installed and maintained in a small unvented or confined space.
(D) All gas meters and regulators must be located a minimum of two (2) feet from any vent, three (3) feet from any electric source, and four (4) feet from any window, door, or building entry.
(E) When meters are installed in high traffic areas, or areas frequented by equipment, bollards must be installed by the customer requesting the service and approved by MNG. These bollards must be at least three (3) inches in diameter, be set in concrete, extend at least thirty-six (36) inches above the surface, and be painted yellow.
(F) The city's responsibility for the natural gas installed in any structure, including, but not limited to, a dwelling, commercial building, industry, or institutional setting with multiple buildings, gas service equipment, appliances, and/or other accessories, stops at the gas meter, with the exception of investigation of reported leaks.
