§ 51.09 MATERIALS.
   (A)   Murray Natural Gas follows all applicable federal and state regulations as well as the city code for provision of natural gas service throughout its natural gas service distribution territory. Murray Natural Gas requires that all licensed Gas Professionals providing services to customers within the city and MNG's gas services territory follow the NFPA 54, ANSI Z223.1 National Fuel Gas Code. The city reserves the right to utilize and/or require materials that are of a quality greater than the minimum required by federal rules and regulations. Further, in no situation will MNG ever allow materials and standards of a lesser quality for those licensed gas professionals who design, construct, install, maintain and/or repair customer gas systems than specified in the NFPA 54 ANSI Z223.1, National Fuel Gas Code.
   (B)   Such part of the pipe as is laid underground shall be P.E. run with a tracer wire.
   (C)   On concealed piping, no bushings, or running threads are to be used.
   (D)   Murray Natural Gas allows no street elbows or bushings, no CSST piping outside or connected directly to a meter, no copper or galvanized piping of any kind and no threaded fittings behind walls or ceilings. In addition, all pipe that carries pounds of gas inside must be welded and all TracPipe must be bonded.
