§ 50.09 CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITY FOR UTILITY PROPERTY.
   (A)   All meters, service connections, and other equipment furnished by Murray Municipal Utilities shall be and remain the property of the utility. The customer shall provide a space for and exercise proper care to protect the property of the utility on his or her premises, and in the event of loss or damage to Murray Municipal Utilities' property, arising from neglect of the customer to care for same, the cost of necessary repairs or replacements shall be charged directly to the customer.
   (B)   The customer shall maintain the meter location, keeping it free of debris, overgrown shrubs, noxious vines, thorn bushes and similar impediments and making it accessible to the meter readers or service personnel at all times. If meters are not accessible to meter readers, the customer will be notified in writing and the customer's bill will be estimated no more than three (3) times before being disconnected. The customer will be responsible for disconnect and reconnect fees, in addition to the actual amount of usage registered on the meter.
