§ 50.15 ADJUSTMENT OF BILLS FOR METER ERROR.
   (A)   If a customer believes that there is an error in the customer's water bill, before the customer's water bill becomes delinquent the customer shall present his or her claim in person to the appropriate town official at the town office. After doing so if the claim is not resolved, the customer may request a hearing on the matter before the Board of Commissioners . The customer may pay the disputed water bill under protest. Payment of a disputed water bill under protest shall in no way prejudice the claim of the customer.
   (B)   At the request of the customer (for fee of $5 inside the corporate limits of the town and a fee of $10 outside the corporate limits of the town) the town will make a special reading of the customer's water meter. If the special reading of the customer's water meter discloses that the water meter was initially read in error by the town, no fee will be charged to the customer for the special reading of the customer's water meter.
