§ 92.02 PRIMARY FIRE LIMITS.
   (A)   Generally. The primary fire limits of the Town of Murphy be and hereby are established and defined as that area located within the corporate limits of the Town of Murphy designated as the General Business District (G-B) on the Official Zoning Map of the Town of Murphy, North Carolina.
   (B)   Prohibited buildings. Within the primary fire limits of the Town of Murphy, North Carolina, as established and defined by this section, no frame or wooden building or structure, or addition thereto, shall hereafter be erected, altered, repaired, or moved (either into the limits or from one place to another within the limits).
   (C)   Violations. It shall be unlawful and a violation of the provisions of this section for any person to erect, alter, repair, or move (either into the limits or from one place to another within the limits) any frame or wooden building or structure, or addition thereto, within the primary fire limits of the Town of Murphy as established and defined by this section.
   (D)   Enforcement. It shall be the duty of the Building Inspector of the Town of Murphy or his/her designee and the Police Department of the Town of Murphy to enforce the provisions of this section.
   (E)   Exercise of police power. This entire section shall be deemed and construed to be an exercise of the police power of the Town of Murphy, State of North Carolina, for the preservation and protection of public safety, and all of its provisions shall be liberally construed with a view to the effectuation of the purpose.
