§ 75.09 GENERALLY.
   (A)   Parking on sidewalks, lawns or greenspace.
      (1)   It shall be unlawful for any motor vehicle, trailers, boats, motorcycles, mowers or other yard equipment, farm machinery or any part of the aforementioned, to park on any greenspace, yards, grassy areas, unpaved areas or sidewalks in town.
      (2)   No person shall park any motor vehicles on any portion of any lawn or greenspace located within the town’s corporate limits, with the exception of the horseshoe area of the park and along the east side of South Madison Street between Jefferson Road and Second Street along the park. Parking in residential areas shall be on driveways or areas of approved parking areas. Approved parking areas shall include concrete, blacktop, gravel (free from grass and weeds) with a hard base.
      (3)   There shall be an exception that parking on any portion of a lot, lawn or greenspace in a Residential District for the purpose of loading or unloading or washing the motor vehicle. The motor vehicle shall not remain on the lot, lawn or greenspace for any amount of time greater than that reasonably necessary to accomplish the task.
   (B)   Commercial vehicles in Residential Districts prohibited. The driver of any commercial vehicles, including trucks or tractors with a registered gross weight in excess of 21,000 pounds, or any semi-tractor or trailer, is prohibited from parking the vehicle upon or next to a public sheet or greenspace in a Residential District of the town, except in an emergency or temporarily during those times as the vehicle is being loaded or unloaded, with such time to be a maximum of 30 minutes.
   (C)   Parking vehicles facing oncoming traffic. It shall be unlawful to park any motor vehicle or other vehicle along the side of any street so that the vehicle faces oncoming traffic from the nearest lane of travel.
   (D)   Violations. Any person, firm or corporation who shall violate any of the provisions of this section, upon the determination of any police officer of the Town Police Department, or other law enforcement agency, or if the vehicle impedes the orderly flow of traffic or constitutes a traffic hazard or a public nuisance, shall be subject to the vehicle being towed away at the owner’s expense.
