511.06 FALSE ALARMS.
   (a)   A charge of fifty dollars ($50.00) shall be assessed for the first false alarm received through local alarms, the Police Emergency Panel, the Fire Department Emergency Panel, or for a false alarm received on any other alarm service, which the city has been given permission to be installed. A charge of one hundred dollars ($100.00) shall be assessed for the second false alarm received within a twelve (12) month period. A charge of two hundred fifty dollars ($250.00) shall be assessed for the third false alarm received within a twelve (12) month period. Such fee shall be assessed against the holder of the permit for the alarm, which was falsely activated.
   (b)   No fee will be assessed for any “false alarm” to which there is no response by the Police Department or the Fire Department, or when the cause of the “false alarm” is determined to be an act of God. (Ord. 2005-06. Passed 4-11-05.)
   (c)   Any charge for a false alarm which remains unpaid thirty days after the date of invoice shall result in cancellation of the permit and shall be a violation of this chapter.
