The purpose of the Commission is to conduct a comprehensive review of the salary structures and practices within the City and to make recommendations for adjustments and improvements. The Commission shall:
(a) Evaluate the competitiveness of the City’s salary structures compared to similar municipalities and relevant labor markets.
(b) Access internal equity among various positions within the City.
(c) Consider factors such as cost of living, inflation, collective bargaining agreements and budget constraints in formulating recommendations.
(d) Submit reports with recommendations to the Mayor and Council as necessary.
