(a) It is the intent of the Maintenance Ordinances that property owners shall be responsible for the maintenance of their buildings and structures. Tenants may be held responsible under this ordinance for violations of these ordinances related to garbage, rubbish, solid waste and weeds, if these matters are the tenant's responsibility under a written lease executed by the tenant and the property owner.
(b) Existing structures and premises that do not comply with the requirements of the Maintenance Ordinances shall be altered or repaired to provide a minimum level of health and safety as provided herein. (Ord. 2014-02. Passed 3-24-14.)
