135.07 EQUAL OPPORTUNITY.
   (a)   The City will not discriminate against any person based upon that individual’s national origin except as required in conformance with the Immigration Reform and Control Act. There shall be no discrimination against any applicant intending to become a U.S. citizen in accordance with the provisions of the Immigration Reform and Control Act policy contained herein.
   (b)   The City will not discriminate against any person due to that individual’s physical handicap provided such physical handicap does not prevent the individual from meeting the bona fide occupational requirements of the job.
   (c)   Each Appointing Authority shall be responsible for formulating, implementing, coordinating and monitoring all efforts in the area of equal employment opportunity. Supervisors shall also be responsible for their actions in regards to providing equal employment opportunities to each employee or job applicant in their departments.
