§ 51.037  OWNER-MADE CONNECTION.
   (A)   The owner of any sanitary sewer collection system, including any sewer main extension, that has received a permit from the city for the  connection  to  the  city's municipal sewer system, as set forth in § 51.036 above, can make the required connection under the supervision of the Superintendent, if approved in writing by the city.
   (B)   The connection charge for connecting the sanitary sewer collection system and any sewer main extension to the city's municipal sewer system shall be waived when the connection is made by the owner at the owner's expense if the owner installs materials approved by the city throughout the sanitary sewer collection system and the sewer main extension.
   (C)   All sewage collection systems and sewer main extensions connected to the city's municipal sewer system shall become the property of the city immediately following the connection to the city's municipal sewer system.
   (D)   No services shall be connected to the sanitary sewer collection system and any sewer main extension until they have been connected to the city's municipal sewer system.  Once this has occurred and the sanitary sewer collection system and/or any sewer main extension belongs to the city, service connections may be made as set forth under this chapter.
