(A) The following monthly rates for the fire protections services for all water customers of the city’s municipal water system shall be based on the customer’s fire protection pipe size and shall take into account: the fire protection service is to provide for the cost to pay for the investment in the construction of the system to provide for sufficient water volumes and fire connections to provide water for use in manual or automatic fire suppression systems.
(B) The monthly water rates for customer-owned fire protection systems of the city are as follows:
(1) Dedicated fire protection lines connected to the city’s system shall pay a monthly fee of two dollars ($2.00) per inch diameter nominal pipe size per month.
(2) Fire hydrants located on dedicated fire protection lines shall pay a fee of seven dollars and fifty cents ($7.50) per hydrant per month.
