§ 33.127 MEMBERS TO LIVE WITHIN COUNTY.

   (A)   All members, including probationary members, of the City of Mt. Vernon Police Department shall:

      (1)   Be a resident of the State of Indiana;

      (2)   Reside in Posey County, Indiana or within an Indiana county that is contiguous to Posey County, Indiana;

      (3)   Have adequate means of transportation into the City of Mt. Vernon, Indiana; and

      (4)   Maintain in the member’s residence, telephone service with the City of Mt. Vernon, Indiana.

   (B)   This section shall govern all members of the Mt. Vernon Police Department except any current member of the Police Department who lives outside Posey County, Indiana or in a non- contiguous county in Indiana on the date this section is adopted.
