(A) All cuts or excavations shall immediately be properly back-filled with granular or equivalent materials and compacted to prevent settling.
(B) All asphalted, chip and seal, or concrete surfaces shall be restored to their condition prior to any cuts or excavations (pre-existing condition) within seven working days after completion of work. Consideration may be given for inclement weather conditions.
(C) Each person, firm, or corporation making any cut or excavation shall be responsible for the backfill and repairs to that cut or excavation for a period of three years after the repair is completed. The applicant shall perform all work necessary to continuously maintain the cut or excavation in its preexisting condition during the three-year repair period.
(D) All cuts or excavations, and the backfill and repair, shall be subject to inspection by the city.
(E) The applicant shall contact the appropriate city department head prior to backfill for inspection.
