(A) The following funds are established within the City of Mount Vernon:
(1) Opioid Restricted Fund. All settlement funds received by the city as "restricted funds" shall be deposited into this fund and may only be expended as provided by the settlement agreement and in accordance with approved State Board of Accounts guidelines and procedures. This fund shall be a non-reverting fund.
(2) Opioid Unrestricted Fund. All settlement funds received by the city as "unrestricted funds" shall be deposited into this fund and may be spent in the same manner as money in the General Fund and in accordance with approved State Board of Accounts guidelines and procedures. This fund shall be a non-reverting fund.
(B) These funds shall continue until terminated by ordinance or until all proceeds are spent and no further distributions are anticipated.
