§ 70.06 VEHICLE SEAT BELT POLICY.
   (A)   Each front seat occupant in a municipal-owned or passenger motor vehicle, or in a personal passenger motor vehicle being used for, or in the course of, municipal business, that is equipped with a safety belt meeting the standards stated in the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard Number 208 (49 CFR 571.208) shall have a safety belt properly fastened about the occupant's body at all times when the vehicle is in forward motion.
   (B)   For purposes of this policy, PASSENGER MOTOR VEHICLE shall be defined by I.C. 9-13-2-123, including any amendment thereto.
   (C)   Violation of this policy by an employee (full-time or part-time) of the city, its departments or utilities, may result in discipline under § 34.60 as a minor infraction.
