§ 34.60 DEFINITIONS.
   For the purpose of this subchapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
   DISCIPLINARY ACTION. Those actions taken by the city in response to an employee’s infraction of rules.
   MAJOR INFRACTION. Those actions of an employee that can result in immediate termination. They include but are not limited to:
      (1)   Drinking on the job.
      (2)   Gross insubordination.
      (3)   Use of unlawful drugs.
      (4)   Fighting on the job.
      (5)   Stealing or destruction of municipal property.
      (6)   Falsification of employee application.
      (7)   Being intoxicated or under the influence of unlawful drugs on the job.
   MINOR INFRACTIONS. Those actions of an employee which if inexcusably continued, will result in oral and written warnings and possible termination. They include but are not limited to:
      (1)   Unexcused tardiness.
      (2)   Unexcused absences.
      (3)   Insubordination.
      (4)   Poor employee appearance.
      (5)   Failure to follow instructions.
      (6)   Abuse of sick time.
      (7)   Others as defined by the City Council.
