§ 154.30 GENERAL PROCEDURE.
   (A)   Classification of subdivisions. Before any land within the corporate city limits or the area outside the corporate city limits and within one mile thereof is subdivided, the owner of the property proposed to be subdivided, or his authorized agent, shall apply for and secure approval of the proposed subdivision in accordance with the following procedures, which include two principal steps for a minor subdivision and four principal steps for a major subdivision:
      (1)   Minor subdivision.
         (a)   Sketch plan.
         (b)   Final subdivision plat.
      (2)   Major subdivision.
         (a)   Sketch plan.
         (b)   Preliminary plat.
         (c)   Construction of improvements (See §§ 154.50 through 154.60).
         (d)   Final subdivision plat.
   (B)   Official submission dates. For the purpose of these regulations, for both major and minor subdivisions, the date on which the application is first filed shall constitute the official submission date for the plat, after which the statutory period required for approval or disapproval of the plat shall commence to run. The Planning Department shall publish at least 30 days prior to the beginning of each year a calendar of official submittal dates. This calendar shall specify a submittal date for each month. All applications delivered to the city on a date other than a scheduled date shall be dated received on the next official submittal date.
