If a building connected to the public sewer system is abandoned or demolished, the existing sewer lateral must be plugged by the property owner to prevent any water from entering the wastewater sewer, and inspected by the Commission. Prior to issuance of a building permit for the reconstruction of a building, the sewer lateral shall be inspected and approved for use by the Commission.
