Any person, persons, firm or corporation or anyone acting in behalf of said person, persons, firm or corporation, violating any of the provisions of this chapter shall, upon conviction by a court of competent jurisdiction, be subject to a fine of not more than $500 and the costs of prosecution or in default of the payment thereof, by imprisonment in the county jail for a period not to exceed 90 days, or both such fine and imprisonment at the discretion of the court. Each day that a violation is permitted to exist shall constitute a separate violation.
