Any territory hereafter annexed to the municipality shall automatically be in the SR-1, Single-Family Residence District until duly changed by an amendment to this chapter; except if such property is the subject of an annexation agreement specifying a zoning designation and, except that the Village Board, with the advice of the Zoning Board, may annex any territory as any other zoning district or districts herein established if all legal requirements for zoning the property at the time of the annexation and the requirements for amending this chapter by the extension of the zoning district provisions are met.
