(A) The Director of the Bureau of Inspection shall be ex officio the Housing Inspector as defined and provided in Chapter 10 of the Revised Code of Ordinances of the City of Mt. Vernon. He shall also be ex officio Health Inspector and shall be charged with the investigation, inspection, and enforcement of ordinances and regulations of the City and the State of Illinois relating to health and sanitation, and also relating to any alleged violations under the provisions of 65 ILCS 5/11-20.
(B) The Director of the Bureau of Inspection shall further have full control and responsibility for weed control under the provisions of § 90.14 of the Revised Code of Ordinances of the City of Mt. Vernon and of the State Statutes applicable thereto.
