(A) All regular members of the Police Department who work on the following legal holidays: Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day, shall be given time off at a later date to compensate for the time worked on said legal holiday or be paid for same 1½ times his pay.
(B) The date for taking said time off shall be approved by the Chief of the Police Department.
