(A) No person shall be appointed as a full-time police officer without having first passed a physical examination. The provision also applies to part-time police officers being appointed to full-time duty.
(B) The doctor giving the physical examination shall be selected by the Mayor and City Manager. The extent of the examination shall be determined by the Mayor and City Manager and the cost of this examination shall be paid by the city.
