(A) There is created the office of Administrative Assistant to the Council. The Administrative Assistant shall be elected by the Council and shall serve at the pleasure of the Council.
(B) The duties of the Administrative Assistant shall be to assist the Council in the performance of its legislative functions by making those inquiries and conducting the research as the Council or any of its committees may from time to time, by majority vote, direct. The direction shall be made through the President of Council.
(C) Compensation for the Administrative Assistant shall be as set by Council.
