(A) There is established the office of City Clerk. The City Clerk shall be appointed by the Mayor. It shall be the duty of the City Clerk to be in attendance at the Municipal Building five days per week, Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with one hour per day for lunch. The Clerk shall be available during the hours aforesaid to answer the telephone and do the necessary typing, filing, and clerical work required by the various officers of the city.
(B) Compensation for the City Clerk shall be as set per legislative authority.
