Fences may be placed on property where allowed by the following regulations but may not be used on the property lines within 30 feet of the intersections of two streets if the screening would in any way reduce the visibility of traffic movement.
(A) Front yard. There shall be no fence erected within the front yard limits.
(1) Exception. A decorative type fence shall be permitted with the following limitations. Height shall be four feet from base to the top of construction. Fences on the top of retaining walls shall be measured from the grade on the higher side of the wall. Fences must be made from durable materials permanently and securely anchored into place. There shall be a maximum run of 15 feet of decorative fence in the same direction or in combined runs not to exceed 15 feet total.
(2) Corner lots. Those lots which are located at intersecting streets shall have two front yards each being the portions of the lot that front each street, and will be subject to the above regulations for fences.
(B) Side yard lines. Fences within required side yard lines shall be limited to a six foot height from base to the top of construction. Fences must be made from durable materials permanently and securely anchored into place.
(C) Prohibited materials. Prohibited for use as fences shall be barbed wire, or any electrified wire materials.
