§ 35.20 VOLUNTEER FIREMAN’S DEPENDENTS FUND BOARD.
   (A)   There is established a Volunteer Fireman’s Dependents Board which shall consist of five members who shall be chosen as follows:
      (1)   Two members shall be elected by the Council of the city;
      (2)   Two members shall be elected by the Fire Department of the city;
      (3)   One member shall be elected by the Board members elected in (1) and (2) above, and such member must be an elector of the city; but such member may not be a public employee, nor may he be a member of the legislative authority or of the Fire Department.

   (B)   Election of Board members set forth in (A) (1) and (2) shall be held each year on the first Monday in December and the Board member set forth in (A) (3) shall be elected on or before the second Monday of December of each year. Each Board member shall serve for a period of one year commencing on January first next; provided, that the initial Board shall assume its duties immediately.

   (C)   Upon election the Board shall elect a Chairperson and Secretary. The Secretary shall immediately certify to the state fire marshal the names of the Board member Chairperson and Secretary. He shall also forward a certificates or statement by the Finance Director of the city of the current assessed valuation of the city.

   (D)   R.C. §§ 146.01 through 146.19 are adopted and made a part of this section the same as if fully written herein.
