(a) No person shall make a service connection to the Village's sanitary sewer system or any part thereof, unless a permit to do so has been issued by the Village.
(b) The following fee shall be charged for permits issued on or after January 1, 2004 to connect into the Village's sanitary sewer system.

(c) Existing customers or new sanitary sewer connection permits issued for properties located outside of the Village limits will be charged the above mentioned fee on condition that the owner of the property to be served shall, within sixty days of the time said property becomes contiguous to the Village of Mount Gilead, Ohio, prepare and file or join in the preparation and filing of an annexation petition pursuant to Ohio R.C. 709.02 for such property to be annexed to the Village of Mount Gilead, Ohio. The failure of any such nonresident wastewater customer to comply with this condition shall be grounds for immediate termination of sanitary sewer service to the property.
(d) In the event a meter is enlarged, the difference between the charges for the two meter sizes shall be paid.
(e) Subsection (b) hereof shall not apply to the holder of a permit issued prior to the effective date of this section for which capacity fees have been paid and actual connection to the sanitary sewer system occurs within six months after the issuance of such permit.
(f) Sanitary sewer system capacity fees shall be deposited into the Village’s Sewer Capital Improvement Fund.
(g) The capacity fees will be evaluated and updated annually.
