(a) All residence service lines shall be a minimum-pipe diameter of six inches from the wye to the property line. The pipe and joint materials shall be as described in Sections 913.02 and 913.03. The grade of residence service lines shall be a minimum of one-quarter inch per foot. New construction or repair of an existing lateral to the main shall have a six-inch cleanout at the edge of the right-of-way. When a new lateral is installed with a clean out at the edge of the right-of-way the village will take ownership and maintenance responsibility for that section of the lateral in the right-of-way.
(b) All service lines that are shared with more than one household will meet the above requirements. Also, any repairs will be shared equally by both property owners from the wye at the main to the point of separation.
(c) The property owner is responsible from the main line for all maintenance of the sewer lateral to the residence, unless a new lateral from the main to a cleanout at the edge of the right-of-way is installed. Then the village will take ownership and maintenance responsibility for that section of the lateral in the right-of-way.
(d) Each new single-family residence shall have its own private sanitary lateral and cannot share laterals with other structures.
(e) A property owner's lateral shall go from that parcel or property to the right-of-way to access a sewer main. No lateral shall cross other properties.
