As used in this chapter:
(a) "Lawn strip or curb strip" means that part of a street or highway right of way outside of the portion thereof improved for travel, including the sidewalk where a sidewalk is installed.
(b) "Private property" means all real property not otherwise included in the definition of "Village property" or "public property."
(c) "Public property" means all real property owned, operated or controlled by governmental entities or agencies, other than the Village.
(d) "Trees" means and includes all shade and ornamental trees, shrubs, bushes and other woody vegetation now and hereafter growing within the Village.
(e) "Village property" means all real property owned, operated or controlled by the Village, including, but not limited to, easements, right of ways, streets, sidewalks, lawn strips or curb strips, parks, playgrounds and parking lots.
(f) "Village trees" means and includes all shade and ornamental trees, shrubs, bushes and other woody vegetation now and hereafter growing on Village property.
