Any civil emergency proclaimed in accordance with this chapter shall terminate after seventy-two hours or the issuance of a proclamation determining an emergency no longer exists, or by Council as set forth in Section 514.06, whichever occurs first. However, such emergency may be extended for such additional period of time as determined necessary by the Mayor, unless terminated by Council as set forth in Section 514.06.
