There is hereby established a Village Tree Board in and for the Village. The Board shall consist of five members who shall be residents of the Village and who shall be appointed by the Mayor and approved by Council. The term of appointment shall begin January 1 next following the appointment, unless the appointment is to fill a vacancy of an unexpired term, in which event the term shall begin upon approval of the appointment by Council. The Street Commissioner and the Mayor or a Council member shall be ex-officio members.
