(a) Each member of Council, elected to a term of office beginning on or after January 1, 2008, shall be an annual salary of thirty-six hundred dollars ($3,600) to be paid in monthly installments of three hundred dollars ($300.00).
(b) No member shall be compensated for a meeting from which said member is absent, unless said absence is excused in writing by the Mayor upon written or oral request of the absent member.
