§ 50.098 BILLING OF TENANTS; PROPERTY OWNER'S RIGHT TO EXAMINE RECORDS.
Sewer charges may be billed to the tenants occupying the premises served unless otherwise instructed in writing by the person who owns the premises. The billing in no way shall relieve the owner of liability in the event payment is not made as herein required. The owners of the premises served, which are occupied by tenants, shall have the right to examine the collection records of the town for the purpose of determining whether the sewer charges have been paid by the tenants, provided the examination shall be made at the office at which the records are kept and during the time the office is open for business.
