The town shall have the right to reject waste and prohibit the introduction of rejected waste into the sewerage system or the town may require pretreatment of the waste when the strength or character of the waste is such that it could damage or interfere with the operation of the sewerage system. When pretreatment is necessary, the pretreated wastes must meet the restrictions contained in the Environmental Protection Agency Pretreatment Standard (40 CFR 403).
