§ 32.05 SAFETY BOARD.
   (A)   A Safety Board is hereby established to fulfill the obligations and administration of the matters required under Indiana law to be conducted under IC 36-8-3 and provisions amendatory thereof and supplemental thereto.
   (B)   The members of the Safety Board shall consist of the Town Council from time to time without special appointment or other proceedings for selection of the Safety Board. When a Town Council member shall be selected as a member of the Town Council, he shall automatically become a member of the Safety Board with the authority to proceed under IC 36-8-3 The President of the Town Council from time to time shall also serve as Chairman of the Safety Board, without special election for such Safety Board.
   (C)   The town shall have only one precinct and one fire district, which shall be all territory over which the town has jurisdiction to exercise law enforcement authority or protection.
   (D)   Whenever reference is made to a police officer, under IC 36-8-3, then the same shall mean the marshal's department of the town. The Town Marshal shall be deemed the Police Chief for purposes of IC 36-8-3.
