§ 92.09 IMPOUNDMENT PROCEDURE.
   (A)   Any unlicensed or unvaccinated dog or cat found at large or any licensed dog or cat found at large in violation of §§ 92.02 through 92.04 of this subchapter shall be seized and impounded, or, at the discretion of the Town Marshal, the owner may be served a summons to appear before a proper court to answer charges made thereunder.
   (B)   Owners of licensed dogs or cats shall be notified within two days that upon payment of applicable impounding fees, plus cost of food and care in a reasonable amount, the dog or cat will be returned. If the impounded licensed dogs or cats are not recovered by their owners within seven days after notice, the dogs or cats shall be disposed of in a humane manner as directed by the Town Council.
   (C)   Impounded unlicensed dogs or cats may be recovered by the owner, upon proper identification, by payment of the license fee, impounding fee, and boarding costs, and the costs of vaccination if vaccination is required by § 92.04. If those dogs or cats are not claimed within seven days after notice, they shall be disposed of in a humane manner as directed by the Council.
