10-6-2: INTERNATIONAL FUEL GAS CODE ADOPTED:
   A.   Code Adopted: That certain document, three (3) copies of which are on file in the Office of the City Clerk, being marked and designated as the International Fuel Gas Code, 2015 edition, including all appendix chapters thereto, is hereby adopted as the Fuel Gas Code of the City for regulating and governing fuel gas systems and gas-fired appliances as herein provided; providing for the issuance of permits and collection of fees therefor; providing for each and all of the regulations, provisions, penalties, conditions and terms of said Fuel Gas Code. Said Code shall be on file in the Office of the City, and is hereby referred to, adopted, and made a part hereof, as if fully set out in this section, with the additions, insertions and deletions and changes prescribed under subsection B of this section.

   B.   Revisions To Fuel Gas Code: The following sections of the 2015 International Fuel Gas Code are hereby revised:
      1.   Insert “the City of Morris” for [Name of Jurisdiction].
      2.   Insert “offense” for [Specify Offense], and substitute the words “under Morris Municipal Code section 1-4-1” in place of all of the words in the sentence following “of not more than [amount]..”; insert “not less than $250.00” for the words “not less than [amount]” and insert "the maximum fine under Morris Municipal Code section 1-4-1 in place of the word [amount] in the final phrase of the last sentence.
      3.   Delete all substantive references to an appeal and in its place shall be inserted “Appeal. Any person shall have the right to appeal a decision of the Code Official to the Mayor or the designee. An application for appeal shall be based on a claim that the true intent of this Code or the rules legally adopted thereunder have been incorrectly interpreted, the provisions of this Code do not fully apply, or an equally good or better form of construction is proposed. The application shall be filed within 20 days after the notice was served on a form obtained from the Code Official”.

   C.   Fees: The City Council, or in the absence of Council resolution, the Mayor, shall establish the fee schedule which shall constitute the building fees to be charged by the City for the services and permits issued under this Code. Each applicant for a permit under this Code shall pay to the City Clerk or other designee a fee to be computed under that schedule.
