§ 33.06 DEPARTMENT OF ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT; ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION.
   (A)   Pursuant to I.C. 36-7-12-4, the Council finds it necessary to create a body with the powers to finance economic development or pollution control facilities under the Act and hereby establishes the County Department of Economic Development (the “Department”). The Department is established to exercise the powers set forth in the Act or otherwise granted by law. Pursuant to I.C. 37-7-12-7, the Department will be controlled by a board of three members to be known as the County Economic Development Commission (the “Commission”) consisting of three members to be appointed by the Board, one of such members to be nominated by the Council, one of such members to be selected by the Board, and one of such members to be nominated by the Common Council of the City of Martinsville, Indiana.
   (B)   The Council hereby nominates as its member of the Commission, with a term of office beginning on the date of his or her appointment by the Board and expiring on January 31, 2005.
