(A) The provisions of this chapter shall apply to all dance halls and dance hall operations in operation on or after the effective date of this chapter.
(B) An existing dance hall may apply to the Commissioners for a temporary exemption from the application of this chapter.
(C) The request for exemption must be in writing, received by the Commissioners within 30 days of the effective date of this chapter, and state the specific reasons for the exemption and the specific provisions of this chapter from which exemption is desired.
(D) The Commissioners may grant an exemption for a period of time not to exceed 45 days from the effective date of this chapter.
(E) The Commissioners may extend the original exemption for an additional 45-day period, upon a written application and showing of good cause.
