(A) APPLIANCES, as defined herein, shall mean stoves, washers, dryers, dishwashers, water heaters and similar items which are commonly used in households.
(B) Defined herein, CFC APPLIANCES shall mean refrigerators, freezers, air conditioners, dehumidifiers and similar appliances commonly found in the home which may contain cooling coils, which may contain refrigerant gas (CFC).
(C) Both appliances and CFC appliances may be accepted at the County Highway Department location on Blue Bluff Road in Martinsville, Morgan County, Indiana during business hours and hours during which said location is open to the general public.
(D) The location at the County Highway Department shall be designated for the dropoff of such appliances and CFC appliances.
(E) Anyone wishing to drop off such appliances or CFC appliances shall pay the following amount to the personnel designated by the County Highway Department to be in charge of such location and to receive such funds:
(1) For CFC appliances: $18; and
(2) For all other appliances: $10.
(F) For such sums so received, a receipt shall be given to the person delivering such appliance. Such receipt shall be written on a form approved by the State Board of Accounts.
(G) Said monies so received shall be turned over to the Treasurer of the county, and out of such funds, a fee shall be paid for the removal of said appliances and said CFC appliances to a recycling center or other location specified by the county.
(H) The remaining funds shall remain with the Treasurer of the county, subject to the appropriation of the County Highway Department to cover the expenses of implementing this section.
