1350.01 HISTORY OF COPPER PIPING REQUIREMENT IN THE VILLAGE AND ADVANTAGES OF COPPER PIPING.
   (a)   The Village, prior to the adoption of the substance of the Residential Code of Ohio for One., Two-, and Three-Family Dwellings ("State Code"), required the use of copper piping. The Village Council has concluded that the copper piping requirement is a factor that has helped to ensure the quality of homes and the environmental health of homes within the Village.
   (b)   The Village Council has also noted the following advantages of copper piping: copper is safer in natural disasters, copper is weather and bacteria resistant, copper resists corrosion, copper, because it resists burning, does not release toxic gases in a fire, and copper is recyclable making it a more environmentally conscious choice.
