No person shall erase, alter or modify any lines, figures or coloring contained upon any drawings or specifications filed with the Building Inspector. If during the progress of the execution of such work it is desired to deviate in any manner affecting the construction or other essentials of the building from the terms of the applications, plans or specifications, notice of such intention to alter or deviate shall be given in writing to the Building Inspector and the Building Inspector's written assent must be obtained before such alteration or deviation may be made. If such change or deviation affects the bearing or structural parts of such building or its classification or grade of occupancy, new plans thereof shall be submitted to the Building Inspector for approval.
