A permit must be obtained from the Building Inspector before any wiring or electrical installation of any kind is installed in any building or structure. Before any such permit is issued, plans and specifications covering the wiring and all details connected therewith must be filed with the Building Inspector. All electrical work must be performed by a contractor licensed by The Ohio Construction Industry Licensing Board in the electrical trade or by a contractor who files an affidavit attesting that he or she is qualified to perform residential electrical work and only performs residential electrical work.
